We're all about promoting UK e-sports here at Four-Kings. Today, ESL announced the opening of their Fifa 2009 UK section.
If you fancy yourself as quite a hand FIFA player and want to get some practice in, the EAS could be right up your alley. The EAS is the ESL Amateur Series and is aimed at providing a gaming platform for players to sharpen their skills, practice their footwork and have some fun. The EAS is a drop in/drop out league, in other words you can join and leave at any time if you so wish.
If you are part of the EAS you will be assigned a match to play every week against a fellow EAS player. Victory will secure you points which will propel you up the EAS league table, defeat will make you lose them. The EAS is free to participate in whereas players require ESL Premium to compete in the EPS.
The signups will be opening today not only for our upcoming Fifa09 EAS but also for a Fifa09 Opening Cup. This cup will begin on the 12th November and be of a 32 Single-Elimination format. One game will be played per night at 9pm UK time. So what better way to get prepared for the EAS than to participate in the opening cup!

Any plans to expand this to an EPS UK game in the future if it's popular?
